I don't drive the truck must so the original warranty had expired on months I was driving one morning in Oct 2016 with bright lights on it was about 26 deg out foggy so I had fog lights on to first time I had ever used them drove about 35 miles on a narrow country road about 5 am going hunting had a left turn to make onto another road turned left turn signal on all lights went out I was in total darkness hit the brakes to stop and I don't know why but I had my hand still on the turn signal and pulled it back to middle and lights came back on scarred me bad I pulled off the road and asked my brother in law what happened he said I don't know I though we were goners so while parked I hit the signal again and the lights went our again and the gps unit we noticed changed from night mode to day mode. I turned signal off and the lights came back on I played around making it do it again and again so I thought this has never happened before what caused this ? Since this was the first time ever driving using fog lights I turned them off then the turn signal had no effect so I assumed it had to be in fog lights I left them on and it didn't do it again. latter in safer settting like in my drive way I found out it would happen with fog light off It seemed to be dependent on lights being on bright when I used either turn signal. It them stopped and I couldn't make it do it any more so I never made a opintment about two weeks ago it done it again while I was driving again this time it was doing a lot so I made an appointment to get it fixed on my extended warranty 1001 deductible took it to walters where I bought it and it wouldn't do it for them or me. So I paid them the 100.$ came home it hasn't done it again for about 5 days so far waiting for a cold spell in mid 20 deg to see if that makes any difference. But I did go on line and found forums for tunda people experiencing same thing Tacoma similar problems lights going out the Tundra was the eact problem I am having he said it took hmi 18 month every time he took it took them it wouldn't do it they changed his light swith and turn signal out and he thinks it is fixed he said the dealer was driving one too and it was doing the same things This is dangerous I have been lucky so far and have not had a wreck I have turned them signals on and off so many times I may have fixed it or something but It only been a week and I am always afraid they will go out they need to investigate this and fine the problem and fix it something is not right
