problem #2

Dec 272016

Tundra TRD/SR5 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,197 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Bought a 2016 TRD SR5 new. At 7,808 miles truck started in 4x4 Hi mode while selector had not been touched and was in 2 wheel drive. Never fixed as dealer could not duplicate problem even though it was on video.

At 10,197 miles it happened again. Started truck in morning and dash lights showed it was in 4 hi and it felt as though it was in 4 lo, while selector was in 2 wheel drive. Numerous efforts to return it to 2 wheel drive were successful, all on video which was provided to dealer. Again, unable to replicate customer complaint.

Dealer did open a manufacturer case number, so we will see.

Bought 2016 Tundra TRD Sr5 new. At 7,808 miles, started truck in morning and dash showed it was in 4 wheel high though steering felt like 4 wheel Lo. Selector was in 2 wheel drive and I had not used 4x in over a month. Shot video of whole disaster, including multiple attempts to get back to normal.Returned to dealer with video. Unable to replicate customer complaint was response.
