The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic, and he stated that the power steering assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted, and they stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21E103000(Steering). The failure mileage was 53,437.

The contact was informed that the rack and pinion seal failed. The vehicle was taken to a second independent mechanic and the failure was confirmed.
