The Toyota bz4x has a limit of how much you can DC Fast charge it per 24 hours. We don't know the exact limits and Toyota won't tell us, but from what we can tell after you DC Fast charge about 120kwh within 24 hours it slows down the DC Fast charging to ridiculously slow speed. This is the equivalent of approximately 2 0% to 80% charges. We have seen the restriction go down to as slow as 1kw, but usually it restricts it to around 10kw. What this means in practice is once you drive the car for about 400 to 450 miles, it won't let you charge faster than about 40 miles of charge per hour. This is why it took me 23 hours to go from central Maine to Baltimore. A trip that takes a gas car about 9 hours.

No other EV on the market has this kind of restriction and Toyota doesn't tell you about it before you buy it. Yes this happened in December, but the ambient temperatures at the time were in the 40-50s (Fahrenheit). We've also been able to reproduce the problem in front of a Toyota Dealer Technician and Toyota Corporate response is that it is "working as designed". This makes the car, which already has slow charging speeds, completely unusable for road trips or anyone who might need to drive a lot in one day.
