After re-gluing the lift gate window striker plate, about 4 months later the electric lock on the lift gate failed to work. I removed the interior plastic fascia and can manually unlock and open the door. Haven't figured out whether the switch, the lock motor or something else failed. Will update when I have time to fix it...

Update from Jan 10, 2019: Replaced the liftgate opener switch temporarily by using the liftgate window opener switch. Then after buying a replacement switch on ebay, I replaced

I would like Ford to build it's vehicles with one employee per vehicle who has to sit in a wheelchair while building it with no help from anyone else. Then they might get the picture of how i feel in my vehicle. Handicapped!

Ford take responsibility for the product you sell. It's just awful to have so many problems that are not covered under the warranty. I think I might have learned my lesson with this vehicle. I've bought 5 Ford vehicles and I think this one will have to be the last one.
