All four tires show significant cracks along inside above and including the bead. Checked tires after hearing slapping noise from both rear tires. General tire dealer determined failure, but could not replace due to shortage of the tires. Replaced with michelon at my expense as Ford motor and Continental tire refused assistance when contacted. Close up pictures are available. (dot number: Adt0 44T tiresize: P275/60R17)

The tire blew while driving around 70 mph. The recall started shortly after we had it replaced. We asked bill currie Ford to replace it under warrantee because it looked like a defect not a regular blow out. The tread was completely seperated from the tire. They refused saying the tires were not under warrantee. We should have reported this when the recall was anounced, but when we finally decided to replace all five Firestone tires Ford gave us your website to report our original blow out. We do not have the tire that blew but we did store the four remaining Firestone tires, with the same dot number. (dot number: W2cu tiresize: 255/70R16)

This is my 4th new Ford vehicle that I purchased and second Expedition (last one 97) I never had issues with tier separation in my life. On this vehicle I had 2 tires separation in 3 months. I have not received acceptable response from Ford dealers (new Ford vehicles have 1 year/12 months warranty on tire) and most of the dealer would not even accept the standard warranty. Firestone dealers refuse to do anything for me. Earnhardt Ford replaced one of my tiers and I am going to replace remaining tiers at my own cost (with different brand). This not acceptable from my point of view. Ford should pay for my cost.. this is my last Ford vehicle. (tiresize: 265X70X17)( dot number: Tire size: 265X70X17 )

When are these tires going to be recalled? my family and I feel very uncomfortable driving on these tires! I have contacted Firestone and Ford directly to complain about this, but I can not get any satisfaction. The 15" tires that have been recalled are made exactly like the 16" ones on my vehicle. Can someone help me please! thanks in advance. Lance marker. (tiresize: P255/70R16)( dot number: Tire size: P255/70R16 )

Dixie donelson had only purchased her Ford Expedition the month prior (early June), and was just underway for a trip to visit her daughter in Colorado. The original police report documents her losing control of her vehicle within the first 40 minutes of her trip. Further observations of the crash site have revealed tread remnants of new Firestone SUV tires. However, the Expedition caught fire and all remaining tires burned to the extent of not being identifiable. Dixie had told her duaghter she had new Firestone tires, but we have had little success in determining the actual tire model.( dot number: Tire size: (unknown) )

I came home from work and went into the supermarket. When I came out I noticed my right rear tire was almost flat. I put the spare on and the next morning drove up to the local Firestone dealer. The Firestone dealer said there was a hole between the tread and the sidewall and therefore it couldn't be fixed. They (Firestone) told me the tire was not on the recall list so they wouldn't do anything about it. I went to the Ford dealer and they told me the same thing. Later I saw a report on channel 2 in los angeles about yet another Firestone failure and the picture of the hole in the tire they had on tv looked exactly like the hole in my 17" tire. I am suspicious that anything on the road punctured my tire but feel like it was the start of a big problem with the 17" Wilderness AT tires. I bought a Goodyear tire for my spare and today I ordered four Michelin tires. You need to do something about all Wilderness AT tires before more people get injured or killed. Ford and Firestone should be held accountable for this mess. I am sorry I paid $42,000 for a brand new Expedition and less than 7 weeks later have to spend over eight hundred dollars on replacement tires just to feel safe. Do something!!!( dot number: Tire size: P265/70R17 )
