Driving in town at low speed between stop lights 2 blocks apart. Small town. Less than 35 mph. Pushed on brakes to stop behind a car that had just stopped 1/2 block ahead at light...no brakes. Pumped ... no brakes. Pedal to floor. Rear ended vehicle in front. Passenger air bag deployed. Drivers did not. Totaled Expedition. Engine pushed to firewall. Anyone else with a low speed brake failure leading to an accident? Is this an equipment problem or something else wrong with the brakes on this model?

went in ford for an oil change they called and said i needed brakes.i had them fixed and for months the metal noise was annoying which i never had prior . 6 phone calls and they kept telling me to drive it. I dive 70 miles a day. Went back in Feb paid for them to shave the rotors and they told me the rotors got wet. For 100k miles my rotors always got wet and never had a problem. Still the metal noise and this time they said nothing is wrong with them...
