Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Noticed the paint "bubbling" on the hood and lift gate of my 2007 Ford Expedition. I contacted Ford to see if there was a recall or this would be covered under warranty and they said no to both inquiries. The problem has gotten worst and is continuing to grow.

We purchased a used 2007 Ford Expedition el with 40,000 miles on it from a certified Ford dealership. After a few months we noticed that the paint on the hood and the liftgate was bubbling. We took it to the dealership and they said the paint was oxidizing, not rusting. The dealership tried to file a claim under warranty but it was denied. We have tried a second time and waiting to hear back. A vehicle with a $50,000 msrp that has the paint bubbling off after 2 and a half years is terrible. I will think twice before purchasing another Ford product.
