Paint is chiping from the hood and from the trunk door. The other problem is that it vibrates at high speeds. It drives very smooth, but once I hit above 70mph on the highway it starts to feel shaky. I can feel the vibration on the steering wheel.

In 2011, my interior passenger door handle stopped opening the door but didn't come off. I thought it just broke and would get it fixed when I could afford to. But then in 2012, the back interior passenger door handle broke off in my son's hand because he was trying to open the door and get out and it wouldn't unlatch. Not too long after, the driver side back interior passenger door handle broke off in my hand. Now I was positive there had to be recall of some sort. So I went searching for information online. I called my Ford dealership and spoke with [xxx]. I even took my car in and he said my VIN wasn't covered under the interior door latch handle recall. I couldn't believe it considering I had multiple handles that broke off without any force at all. As the driver, I was responsible for opening all passenger doors to let people out of my car. Today, January 20th, 2017, the driver side interior door handle broke off right in my hands. Now, not even I as the driver can get out without the window being down to access the exterior handle. I have 6 children and nobody can get out of the car now. And there was a recall on Ford Expedition interior door latches, so I'm pretty certain mine should have been a party of this! but nobody wants to take responsibility for something that is obviously defective. Ford Expedition 2008 purchased new in 2009 from mullinax Ford in lake park fl had paint blister on the hood and back end in 2011 which is a well known problem. Mullinax body shop said paint not covered after 1 year and quoted expensive paint job. I asked if that is what I should expect from a Ford motor vehicle since this was my 1st Ford. I also asked if this was good advertisement for Ford with the obvious paint peel everywhere we go. I tell the story to everyone I see or asks with a 7 member family playing sports, school, work, church, etc. Now that it's time to replace, I wonder if Ford expects us to purchase a Ford SUV for over $60,000+ versus all the options out there. Hmmm Ford could have done a simple paint job at their "cost" years ago for our loyalty many many cars going forward. Burn us once, shame on you......twice....bad decision mullinax Ford.

I have called Ford about the paint peeling on the back hatch and front hood. They have told me that they do not have a recall or problems with the paint. I have told them that many Ford Expedition owners have had the same issue as indicated by NHTSA reports and fixed their vehicle at no cost. Any given day you can drive by one of these vehicles and you will see the exact locations are peeling paint. I would ask for you to check why some are covered and others are not to then issue a recall to fix all affected. Thank you for your assistance.

I have called Ford about the paint peeling on the back hatch and front hood. They have told me that they do not have a recall or problems with the paint. I have told them that many Ford Expedition owners have stopped me on the road and that Ford had repainted their vehicle for nothing. The paint on the rear of my truck starting coming off. I read online that many Ford Expedition owners have this same complaint and that some owners have taken Ford to court to fix this. This is not right. It is a well maintained vehicle and the paint only in the rear starts bubbling up and then falling off. I think this should be fixed by Ford. This is a very expensive vehicle. I have a 2000 Crown Victoria with no paint falling off.

This vehicle is equipped with the factory installed automatic deploying running boards. The vehicle occupants become reliant on this very important step up for ease of occupant entry and exit from vehicle. These style running boards are found on almost all higher-end luxury Ford & Lincoln sport utility vehicles manufactured from 2006 to present. On two random occasions, with no warning given, the motor ran, but the running board on driver's side failed to deploy. While exiting vehicle, expecting this transition step to the ground to be there, as was designed, driver fell from vehicle spraining ankle and injuring head. Medical treatment was given locally with no doctor. This surprising and unexpected height change of approximately 12 inches is equivalent to removing or missing a stair tread while descending stairs. After researching on internet it seems to be a reoccurring issue among owners. This could prove deadly in a fall to an older occupant that assumes a false sense of security that this "helping step" down is always there while exiting vehicle, when it is not.

Paint is peeling off hood and rear lift gate. This is a known problem for Ford. It has apparently been going on for over a decade. The paint flakes off on any aluminum body panels that have been contaminated with iron. I spoke with Ford and they cannot issue a recall on the paint until more complaints are filed with Ford Motor Company. Call 1-800-392-3673 with your VIN to file your complaint. It only takes 5 minutes.

The paint on my hood and tailgate is bubbling and peeling. I was told these parts are aluminum and the problem is being caused by improper preparation of the surfaces. Have any other Ford owners reported a similar problem ? Ford is not willing to do anything to correct this. I don't believe a 6 year old vehicle should have peeling paint.

Water is collecting in the driver's side rear door. A sloshing sound was heard and when the door was opened and the vehicle was faced uphill water began to exit the bottom of the door at the weather stripping. Each time it rains water is entering this door. From the exterior the door looks the same as the others.
