I bought a 2015 Expedition Platinum a few months back. It is my 4th Expedition. The last one I had was a Limited and one of the reasons I went with the more expensive Platinum was the Sony 700w, 12 speaker stereo, which was advertised as an upgrade. I still had my 2010 Limited when I took delivery of the new one, and side by side, there is no comparison with the old stereo. The new one has very little bass response and doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the old one. I complained to Ford and they said my old one had 150wpc and the new one is 700wpc. There is no way this could be true.
I thought maybe I had gotten a bad one but when I had the dealer check it out, he found no issues. The stereo guy at the dealership agreed that it isn't as good as the old one. Ford now ignores my emails, having responded at first, but no answer for the last 4 emails. Anyone else have this issue or a suggestion?
