I have a brand new 2016 Ford Excursion Platinum, and this is the first year that Ford changed the interior leather on the seats and the side panels. It is thinner and not so durable as previous years. The material is also dyed. Within 8 months after I bought the vehicle, multiple white spots began to appear in the material in all the seats and side panels. I brought it to Ford to have it cleaned and detailed on 3 separate occasions, as well as leaving it at the dealer for almost a month for them to try to figure out how to resolve the problem. They could not resolve the problem or remove the spots. Finally the GM stated that since the leather was OUTSOURCED to a smaller company and not made within the Ford plant, then it is not their fault and not their responsibility. They have stopped trying to resolve this problem for a brand new car that cost me over $88,000!!! They said they would replace a couple of panels to appease me, but they do not want to replace all the damage because it would cost too much. We are left with a problem.
