CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.
The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.
And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

Our Ford Focus is a little over 2.5yrs old. My wife is the primary driver for this car and she weighs in at about 100lbs. Last week when cleaning out the car i removed the floor mats to vacuum and noticed the rubber underside of the driver side floor mat had multple cracks under the heel on the right foot. These cracks will allow any liquids 0on the floor mat to pass through the mat and seep into the carpet. Again this shouldn't happen so early on a new car.
I have yet to put in a claim on this. I do plan to within the next week or so and will post a follow up.
