CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.

The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.

And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

Until I read about other engines overheating from the 2012 model I just assumed I had bad luck. There was no warning light on my car and my engine blew, resulting in me having to replace it and it being quite costly. I've had other issues with the car but I just wanted to make other buyers aware.

First Place Ford Lenoir NC very rude and insulting. Kept telling me a loose fuse, kept car over 30 days. Would not provide ticket on work done the last two times it left me stranded. Will never let this dealer touch car again even if it broke down in their parking lot!

Dealer that sold me car is very rude and ungrateful for my business. Nothing but problems from car and rudeness from local dealer/service people.
