CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.
The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.
And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

I replaced the spark plugs in my wife's 2012 Ford Focus at odometer reading aprox. 100,000 miles.
30,000 miles later during a trip out west it started to misfire.
A Ford dealer "York Nebraska" found 3# plug had come loose. They replaced all four plugs.
10,000 miles after that #4 plug blew out without so much as a misfire leaving no threads whatsoever.
The cylinder head had to be replaced. Nearly $2800.00
I went on line to see if this problem has been prevalent. I guess I found my answer.
I am a mechanic by trade. Industrial maintenance the last 20 years and an auto mechanic before that for 13.
I just double checked the tightness of the plugs I installed in our 2006 Milan 4cyl. and they are still tight.
