CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't
Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.
2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

I bought my '10 Fusion from CarMax August of 2017 and was extremely happy with it. Aside from being cautious with it as it was previously a rental everything was working as it should.
Around December 2017 I noticed that the car whenever it was shifted from Park to Drive would try to jump away from you and the car would slightly dip in the back. Being December I thought the cold had something to do with the fluids. Finally March 22, 2018 I took it to the Ford dealer for diagnosis and it was determined that it was a "Forward Clutch Hydraulic Leak" and that to further diagnose it and to see if it was covered under my extended warranty they'd need to tear-down the transmission and I would have to authorize $1,500++ (not including additional costs if it wasn't covered under the warranty).
Well National Auto Care sent an inspector that determined it was a covered item and that they would authorize a used replacement. Well finally a month later that used transmission came with a broken wiring harness and they also covered that as well. I am still waiting for my car to come back to me after a month of being at the Ford dealer.
I will further update my findings once I get all of my paperwork.
