The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that he was able to shut the engine off with the shifter being in drive. The dealer was contacted, who stated that the vehicle was performing as designed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 1,500. Updated 8/11/14 the consumer stated one should not be able to turn off the engine, while the vehicle is still in drive. Updated 08/26/14
