The contact owns a 2005 BMW 530I. While driving approximately 45 mph, the front passenger's side window was in an upright position and when activated a loud popping and cracking noise emitted and then the window glass forcefully released into the inside of the door panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the window regulator was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the malfunction. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
