This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Seat belt light is always on, drivers side may be the problem. Light goes on as soon as the car is started. I bought it used and light was on. Milage was 91,050. BMW X5 3.0L6 DOHC 24V
A code is being thrown that translates to "seat belt tensioner, driver's side". I see a recall in your database for this issue and 2002 BMW X5's but when I call the dealership (BMW of the mainline) and provide them my VIN#, they said the recall doesn't cover my particular car. Unsure why that would be as I have the same problem w/the same year and model car as in this recall. Obviously, my car suffers from the same issue and should be recitified by BMW free of charge. Thanks
Takata recall and seat belt buckle, purchased from homeland security auction, had a lot of damage to front section and interior was torn apart by home land security. I saw pictures of it on the internet but they are no longer available
