While driving in a rain storm, the windshield wipers quit working. When this occurred, the consumer pulled off the road until the rain stopped. The windshield wipers quit working due to a failure in the windshield wiper motor. Recall 99V348000 was issued, but this vehicle was not included in the recall.
When windshield wipers are operating on delay speed and the wiper switch is turned to off position, wiper blades will stop in middle of windshield, blocking the view of the driver. Dealership previously serviced vehicle for recall 99V348000 in December of 2000, but problem has reoccurred.
