I've fixed everything the diagnostic computers have indicated need to be fixed or replaced, but STILL the light stayed ON!!! AND it BLINKS about 97% of the time!!! SUPER ANNOYING!!!!!

need help--engine code is p 440-emissions--i replaced gas cap and evap canister purge solenoid valve.service engine soon is still on---i ck'ed 1/4"free standing hose at rear of car above left side of gas tank.must be a vent hose? that seemed to be clogged up.i cleaned out w/wire as best i could.also ck'ed vacuum hoses,all seem to be ok,no leaks found. what nxt ? anyone have any ideas ---thanks joe
