Cpsc# I1280196A. 1999 Buick Century. Consumer got an engine for his car. The consumer stated the very day he purchased the engine and had it installed, the engine light illuminated. The technician who installed the engine, stated the cylinder heads were damaged.
I own (bought used) a 1999 Buick Century, at 27,000 miles my drivers windows regulator/motor went out. At 30,000 I hit a little bump while in a construction zone and the passenger side broke and fell down, of course I saw it and swerved a bit, but fortunately not too much. My mother owns a 2000 Buick Century, at 20,000 her drivers side window broke....I am just waiting for a few more miles and then her passenger side will go. General Motors needs to make these parts better. I do believe it is a safety issue, due to the general reaction of something happening like that while a person is driving.
Consumer discovered cracks in the sidewall of the tires due to them being dry rotted, all 4 tires were replaced. The upper strut mount was lubricated, the blower resistor in the air condition was replaced, the carpet was replaced, and there was a wind noise coming from the driver side window.ts
