My automatic transmission started jumping when shifting gears yesterday. Sometimes it will thump hard into first, but this rough up-shifting is new. It comes and goes. Like some people report, when I turn the engine on and off, it stops happening, but then it comes back again later. I'm worried about the repair cost, if needed.
