This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My husband was driving our vehicle on I-20 in Georgia on tues 8/15. It was around 2:00pm, 90-95 degrees, no cars within a 1/2 mile in front or behind. It sounded like a small explosion. Sunroof shattered outward. The shade was pulled so glass did not come into the passenger section. A fine glass dust came through the shade. Buick is claiming it was hit by an unknown impact. That is completely untrue. There was no vehicle, person or equipment anywhere near. It was very disconcerting and the startle/distraction could have caused a serious accident. Please help get car manufacturers to change the type of glass or installation so this does not happen again. In the meanwhile, it should be the manufacturers responsibility to pay for repairs.
