The contact had the window regulator replaced three times. The first time was the right front window, the second time was the right rear window, and third time was the left rear window. The first two times they were replaced under warranty, the third time it was at the consumers expense. Also, was having a problem with windshield wiper blade post on both sides. While driving during a rain storm on the interstate, the windshield wiper on the driver's side stopped working and on the passenger's side it worked intermittently. The windshield wipers were repaired under warranty. Updated 11/16/05.
Consumer states while the car was running a fire started under the hood. Ts prior to fire vehicle lost electric power and warning lights on dash flashed on. Air temp sensor, air intake duct, inner and outer air cleaner assembly replaced. Washer reservoir replaced. PCM repgorammed.
Consumer stated while driving with the windshield wipers in use, they all of a sudden sped up suddenly to maximum speed, however they did not clear enough water away, after running at high speed for about 10 seconds, the drivers side wiper arm moved up and became tangled with the other arm near the middle, in which both arms were then inoperative, the drivers side arm was loose and it could move easily up and down the windshield, after the repair was made consumer found the nut which holds the drivers side wiper arm to the drive shaft had nothing to lock it in place, consumer believes that the nut could become loose again, which would cause the wiper arm to be inoperative.
Consumer states that while driving at highway speed in a down poor of rain, the drivers side wiper quit, twenty minutes later the passenger side wiper stopped. Consumer states he was almost killed, could not see. Took to Buick, Buick stated that bolts that hold windshield wiper arms came loose. Consumer states there is no information in owner's manual that states you should make sure the two bolts are tight periodically.
