I have taken this vehicle to the mechanic six times in the last month and about ten times this year for the same problem. A fault shows up indicating that the gas cap is loose, which causes the service engine light to be activated. Numerous inspections and troubleshooting fixes have been made. No leaks. Engine runs fine. Lights won't stay off!!! I have spent over $1000 to have this problem remedied. I need to get my car smogged in CA and with an activated engine light, that is an automatic FAIL! So now, I have to get all of my maintenance invoices together, make an appointment at the DMV, wait hours to be seen, and pay $500+ to get a valid registration or face fines. HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!
