The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the TPMS warning indicator would illuminate on the instrument control panel. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they placed air in the tire. Soon afterwards, the tire continued to lose air pressure. He returned to the dealer and they discovered a one inch fracture in the rim, which caused the tire to fail. The technician also concluded that there was no external force, such as a crash onto a curb, that caused the wheel to begin cracking on the inside. The rims are the original equipment. The contact is in the process of having the vehicle repaired. The failure and current mileages were 81,037. Updated 11/17/08 updated 11/24/08.
