Cadillac Srx from years 2004-2009 has a problem with burnt out front turn signal/running light bulbs. To change an $8 bulb cost about $150-200 because of the amount of work to access the bulb. I feel that because this is a turn signal (safety) problem GM should have fixed the problem for free or made an engineering change which they didn't. the web shows numerous complaints from Srx owners who have changed the bulbs numerous times and gave up and now have no front turn signals. Most who have fixed the problem say that the bulb runs too hot cracking the ac-delco socket(19120947). The last time I replaced the bulbs one burnt out in a week. My vehicle is an 2004 Cadillac Srx AWD 3.6 L 6 cylinder engine and as 10/3/2004 my mileage is 40065. Bulbs have burnt out 4 times.

The front turn signals are constantly burning out, and are not easy and very costly to get to for replacement. Four bulbs in six months is unacceptable.

Beginning in may of 2013, the right turn signal bulb has continually blown.......5 instances including the time right now that we are having repaired tomorrow. Just the right front light!! the local Cadillac dealer does not seem to consider this a problem because there's been no recall assigned, nor has GM mentioned it anywhere as an issue. First instance 5-27-2013, then 8-23-2013, then 2-22-2014, the 4th time we had them replace the pigtail in addition to the bulb, and as I mentioned we take the car in tomorrow again for the same issue. This should be addressed, not only as a potential fire hazard or safety concern, but as an economic burden on the consumer.........to replace a $6 turn signal bulb, the front bumper must be removed which comes at a cost ranging from $200 to $400 each time there's an issue. Who thought of that design!! I googled the issue "2006 Cadillac Srx right turn signal" and at the following site, I found many other people who are dealing with the problem and who have had to deal with the issue: repairpal.com/failure-of-front-turn-signal-and-drl-bulbs-072 if there is an electrical short situation, it needs to be addressed because sparks and gas burning engines don't go well together!!

The entire third brake light assembly flew off the vehicle while driving down the highway. Fortunately no other vehicles were involved.

2006 Cadillac Srx 5door the problem that I am reporting is that the front R and front L side turning / lane changing light/indicators do not illuminate for purpose of turning/ lane changing indications. If neighboring lane vehicle is beyond the rear tail light indicator, that side traveling vehicle has no way of knowing the Cadillac's directional intentions. The lack of knowing the Cadillac's directional intentions shall result in highway /expressway collisions! this is more particularly dangerous to the Cadillac's neighbor lane vehicle especially if it is in the Cadillac's blind spot. The factory marketed front side light, amber/orange in color, just comes on for marker lamp only. This marker light does not blink or flash to prevent a possible deadly crash!!! for a factory recall, it would be cost efficient to reroute small segment of body illumination harness, verses the nightmare of highway crash deaths and the endless lawsuits........

Car was not accelerating properly, loud engine noise, lurching forward while stopped, when driving car shakes, vehicle is hesitating ride not smooth. Check engine light appeared. Also left turn signal flashes too fast. 2006 Srx timing chain and related components replaced 07/09 and again 01/11. Replaced left turn signal bulb and socket. No explanation given as to why either occurred.
