Cracked dashboard keeps geting worse, service airbags lights now on. Ive had nummerous service suspension issues and had already fixed a thrttle tps sensor tat left me stranded on a day it was 0 degrees outside get GM accountable!!!
My transmission when taking off fast sound like it's in neutral and then when I let off the fast it goes in gear. Also my dash board is cracking and found be a serious airbag issue. I've seen hundreds of complaints about this and a recall hasn't been issued. The recall needs to be issued so I could be fixed asap. This is a serious hazard.!!!
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche. While stationary, the vehicle's dashboard exposed sharp edges and was severely cracked. The contact noticed that the dashboard was full of fractured pieces that protruded from the dashboard material. Brooks motors of thomasville, Alabama replaced the dashboard twice, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Interior door handle (driver's side) chrome overlay peeled 2010 Chevy Avalanche lt. Owner opened door and cut finger on handle release when it was lifted up as car was parked in a parking lot. It is razor sharp. GM was contacted and would not pay for door handle to be fixed despite injury directly resulting from faulty door handle. Vehicle has approximately 91,500 miles. With further inspection chrome overlay surrounding temp control also has peeling noted and is also very sharp.
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500. The contact stated the dashboard was fractured near the passenger side air bag. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
The dashboard is cracked beyond repair. It is cracked in decal different areas. This seems to be a safety issue. Would hate to get into an accident and airbags shoot plastic pieces of dash throughout the vehicle. Cracks appear while driving as well as after sitting.

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the cracks were caused by the heat from the sun. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a local dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000. Updated 03/16/16
Beginning of December 2015, noticed a dash crack over instrument panel behind steering wheel. Also small crack by passenger air bag. Contacted and took to ray Chevrolet. I expressed concern about crack by airbag--was told by service manager that it was probably not a safety issue and the amount that I had to pay was determined by a formula by GM. GM said there is a formula but local dealer has leeway on price. First offer was $320; second offer by dealer $200. GM says they can't help. Noticed on the internet, lots of complaints about this very issue. Crack by dash appears to be getting larger. Car is in excellent condition and has been well cared for. 57,000 miles.

The contact was concerned that the air bags might inadvertently deploy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
The dashboard is cracking for no apparent reason. One crack near the airbag on the passenger side, the second one is directly above the speedometer and gages.
