I was the second one at a stop light behind another truck, going to turn left onto a busy road. As my foot was on the brake, my RPM gauges were going high, then low, high then low... I wasn't doing anything to make it do that! then once the light turned green, the truck went...then i was putting my foot on the gas, but my car wasn't getting any gas for some reason. I put on my hazards lights and waited while my car moved to the side of the road with its front wheel drive...(by this time, the light was not green anymore, it was long red) I turned my car off then turned it back on again. I was lucky it let me drive it up to the gas station. I called the tow truck to take it to the dealership.

It was a computer problem of some sort. Well they changed it..

But now again, after it was all "fixed" it has happened again, except i was still getting gas to my car. It is at the dealership yet again for the thousandth time. I have a courtesy car. I'm so frustrated with this car. Please be nice to yourself and buy a different car, do not go near this one. It is nothing but a headache and UNSAFE

Aveo LS

I got my Aveo on September 11, 2007. When I drove it off the lot it had 17 miles on it. Two weeks after I got it I was driving home from work and the check engine light came on. I was going down hill at the moment so I didn't notice but the engine wouldn't accelerate past 20mph. The road I live on is curvy and has a lot of hills so its dangerous to drive on anyway. The speed limit is 45mph. The fastest my car would go (excluding down hill acceleration) was 20mph. I had to drive at least 8 miles going that speed. I'm thankful that no cars hit me while I was driving. Anyway, I called the dealership the next day since they were already closed the night it happened and they sent a tow truck driver to come get the car since I couldn't drive at a safe speed on the highway. They ended up telling me that one of the pistons (part that puts gas into the motor) quit working. They had my car for over a week trying to fix it. After they fixed it, it worked just fine for about 2 months and then the same thing happened again. I think it is ridiculous that someone can buy a brand new car and then it has to go back to the dealership to get fixed 2 weeks after you get it. It is a big pain in the ass.
