Last year I bought this car in February and March is when the problems started, on I85 coming from durham the car wouldn't let me go no more than 20mph. I have been told the throttle body has been gone bad replaced it several time and I'm still having numerous problems with it and the break line rupturing while coming from raleighi keep good maintenance on my car to not understand why this is happening and yesterday the check engine light comes on again please put this car on recall. This car has stressed me to the max and I can't go places I want anymore!

Had an accident when someone ran into me. Airbags did not deploy. Suspension bars had to be replaced. Also have a crack in the vacuum hose. I was driving apprx 25-30 miles.the problems had nothing to do with the accident..my question is that I should not have to replace the suspension bars this soon. Now the drums have to be replaced (why?) I only have 60,000 miles on the car but these problems started long before this. Is this car on the recall list? ) [xxx] ('parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).')

I was stopped at a red light waiting to make a left southbound turn at approximately 10:30 P.M. the Aveo malfunctioned on turning. I ended up going southbound in the northbound turning lane and was completely stopped. I was unable to start the car, change gears, turn on headlights, or turn on flashers to warn other drivers of impending danger. The car was completely stalled with absolutely nothing working - confirmed by police, a friend, and wrecker operator. It was impossible to even push the car to a safe location as the wheels would not move/turn. A manual override was required by the wrecker operator to even load the car onto the wrecker. I was blessed to have a good samaritan pull up behind me and put on flashers and wait until the police arrived as without lights or flashers, it was difficult to see the car stalled in the wrong lane of traffic - creating the potential for an accident. In the weeks preceding this complete malfunction, I had replaced both front hub bearings, brakes, timing belt and water pump. Shortly after the last repair - replacing the timing belt and water pump - the air conditioning stopped working and received an estimate of approx another $1,400 for this repair from a Chevrolet dealer in my area.

Update on problems with Chevy Aveo 2009. After control arm, bearings, strut, tires replaced in April, the car still has major creaking in the front end. Customer assistance and local dealer are both backing away from further help trying to get car fixed.customer assistance says GM doesn't "owe" me a car to drive during repairs and his advice is to go to dealer and get repairs done, " your warranty has expired". I now have a car with 21700 miles on it, that hasn't been fixed, and I am thinking probably can't be, due to mfg.,design problems.what to do with a car like this, if it isn't recalled.

This is the third entry made trying to get the front end creaking noises from my car fixed by GM. Last week the dealer had my car from Tuesday until Friday and thought the noise had been fixed.of course, when driven home, it was still there. The noise can only be heard at slow speeds, as in parking the car, or going over speed bumps.strut and both bearings have been changed, also a control arm. I am afraid this is a design flaw that is unfixable, I have been trying since last summer, and the warranty is gone. Is it ever admitted that a car has been sold, new, that should not have been. This car has worn out a set of tires at 20000 miles, and they had been rotated regularly.although, so far, GM has cooperated, I don't know how this is going to be resolved.

Took Aveo to certified Chevy dealer as instructed by GM customer service to have front suspension problem diagnosed. While there, told my tires were worn out at less than 20000 miles. Left front strut and bearing replaced for creaking front end. On drive back to my home, with $500 worth of new tires, the creaking is still there.the tires will undoubtedly wear out again. This is a continuing problem with front suspension that GM will not take responsibility for.calling customer service again today. I had tried to get problem fixed while under warranty and was told they couldn't find a problem. Now they seem to be able to. What do I do with this car that can't be fixed?

In spring,2012, Aveo front end started loud creaking noise when turning, going over bumps. Took to certified Chevy dealer in June to have problem taken care of(under warranty),they said they could find nothing wrong. Warranty ran out in January,2013. Noise got much worse.called GM who said take it to dealer for inspection, which I would have to pay for. Took on April 5,2013. Struts and bearing need to be replaced, car has less than 20,000 miles on it. I now know this problem is recurring, and seemingly can't be permanently fixed, a design flaw that GM refuses to acknowledge. I am not a single complainant concerning this expensive malfunction.

There is a ticking noise coming from the right side of the engine. Car is less than 3 years old with low mileage. Why is this going on" oil changes on-time, tires rotated, what is the problem????????" have seen a lot of complaints about several issues that can end up getting someone killed or others hurt. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also, have to keep buying new tires so the car does not ride so hard and I end up killing the suspension. Tires are costly. Again, helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.

I have a 2009 Aveo 4 door with hatchback I bought brand new in April 2010. We have had tons of issues with it. It had a battery leak due to a bad weld job that cracked the battery and acid went throught the engine area (and all over our new home's garage and drive) all the front end has been replaced from the axle, cv boots, lower control arms (just replaced yesterday). This has been an ongoing issue with mulitple trips to the dealer and stays in the shop. Now--new issue---hubby was driving home in stop and go traffic and the car just stopped moving. It was revving up but the car was out of gear so he and his car pool buddy pushed it off the road, shut it off, and then tried to restart it but it did not want to start back up. They walked around it to see if they could see if anything was leaking and looked under the hood and seen nothing out of the ordinary. They got back in and it finally started up after 10 minutes or so and all was fine. Took it to the dealer and when I checked in the guy popped the hood and pulled out the transmission fluid dip stick. He said "no freaking way" over and over again as he put drops of the fluid on his paper and smelled it. He said that the fluid was way dark and smelled burnt and there is no way a car with less the 15,000 miles on it should have that kind of transmission fluid. Well they kept the car overnight called me today to tell me to come and get it that there is nothing wrong with it. That " the tech is unable to verify concern, scanned for codes and bulletins and found none" so therefore there is nothing wrong with it. Next time it jumps out of gear to push the onstar button and have it towed to them and they will see if they can figure it out next time. I have a handicap son and we use that car since it gets great gas mileage to get to the doctor appointments farther away and I do not want to break down on the freeway with him. After reading that our lemon Chevy is not alone with this issue you would think GM would.
