Camaro LT 2 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Driving down the road my instrument cluster malfunctions. I will get a lot of warnings (service air bags, service park assist, ect....) and my gauges (rpm, speed, fuel gauge, coolant gauge) will drop to zero for a second or two and then they will shoot back up to the speed and rpm I was traveling at but will freeze there and not adjust at all after that. The HUD will declutter and will only show RPM and Speed. The RPM on the HUD will still work but the Speedometer will be stuck at zero. the "information center" in-between the RPM and Speedometer will be able to cycle through pages however the numbers on each individual page will also be frozen. The temperature reading on the stereo display will also but dashed out (--) instead of giving a temperature. I have been to the dealer and they could not find anything. I undid the ground and tightened it and it cleared this problem for about a month, but now it is back to happening every other day or so. The rest of the car is unaffected.

Camaro Convertible V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 4,000 miles

I have a 2011 camaro convertible that's been a problem since I bought it. Whenever I drive the car for more than 20 minutes all of the gauges go blank, i.e., speedometer, fuel, engine temperature. Then I start getting warning lights: airbag needs service, theft system needs service, tire pressure is low, etc. I brought the car back to the Dealer twice, but the problem still comes back. Its been at the dealership for two weeks now and they still can't fix the problem. An engineer from Detroit flew out to Phoenix to examine the car, but he's not given any input on how to fix it either.
