Since you never know when the key cannot be removed, you must ALWAYS be early for any appointment. You cannot leave the key in the car B/C then you can't lock the door, also ANYONE can start your car (key is already in it).

Camaro V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 66,400 miles

The car runs great, I love it, and there's no issues now that I've had it two months and spent a couple grand (a/c, brakes, spare tire, jack). But, 3 out of 5 times when I turn it off, the key will not release from the ignition. I have to restart the car and try again, sometimes three or four times, then the key comes out normally???

Camaro RS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 24,666 miles

I have a 2015 Chevy Camaro. Bought it new. I now have 24,682 miles on it. I called the dealer with my issue. They said it will need to be hooked up to the machine for diagnostic. It will cost $89.95 for that. I have not had that done yet. I read other reviews and I am not sure that is going to help. I think GM has a problem with the key getting stuck. It should be a recall. I tried cleaning the key and for one day it seemed to work. The next day I had problems of the key not coming out. I tried to get information by calling Chevy directly. I only got a complaint put in. I also, contacted the Chevrolet facebook page, no real help there. I have read many complaints that seems to occur with some of the other Chevy cars. I have had more than two other trucks and both of them never had this problem. One had over 200,000 miles and one had over 300,000 miles. This does not seem like a normal problem with the car having less than 25,000 miles. So please Chevrolet - Do Something.
