TSB Document:
Affected Component: FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY
- Summary
- This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have sloshing noise while stopping. Technician will need to add or remove 3 gallons of fuel in the fuel tank and retest. If the noise is gone after changing the fuel level then there is nothing you can do to change this condition. The noise is considered normal for that level of fuel in the tank. If the noise is present with all fuel levels, inspect for a blocked drain hole in the mufflers. Technician will need to clean out the drain hole to correct the concern.
