The safety retention cable associated with securing the the driver's seat belt to the driver's seat broke. The stainless steel cable, being approximately 1/4" to 5/16" in diameter, became disconnected from the entire driver's side seat belt. Making the seat belt totally unusable to the driver of the vehicle. It is unknown what caused the cable to because cut and/or fail but, I am a 30 year military aviation maintenance veteran who has seen my fair share of material failure and the manner in which this cable failed is absolutely due to a material defect.
My air bag light keeps popping up and tells me to service the air bags system and now it does it when nobody is on the seat too, the dealer told me they found the problem and charged me 500 and some dollars and i returned the car the same day they said it was fixed cause it was doing it again, I'm scared it might deploy. I never usually have anybody with me but sometimes my wife comes with me and they say is the seat restraints and i keep getting the run around. Thank you....
