The vehicle has been taken to the shop 3 times, for service rear axle issue. now has a power steering fault code which when it came on made the car hard to control luckily i was only going 20 mph. the car looses power as well
Since I-€™ve purchased this vehicle I have been having issues with the transmission and engine providing the accurate amount of power as it relates to the acceleration. The persistent issue is the gear shifting lags and rumbles my vehicle each time I accelerate up a hill, accelerating from g20-30mph and it rumbles the gear. I was told the diagnosis was with the spark plugs having an issue on multiple occasions. I-€™ve changed the spark plugs several times along with maintaining everything else within the vehicle. This problem still persist. In 2019 my vehicle stopped on the road and the issue pointed to the computer module. I got the module replaced but the problem still persisted. This is unacceptable and there needs to be an investigation done as my car has shut down due to this issue, lost power in mid-traffic and who knows what else issues this is causing. If there is not proper function in this area then it will be detrimental to the safety of the driver. I also have records of my visits at the dealer as I brought this to their attention but was brushed off as it being a spark plug issue.
Engine began to shudder as if the engine wants to turn off. It can also feel as if there is some issues with the drive axles. It leads to loss of power of the engine. The loss of power goes away upon shutting the engine off and turning it back on however the check engine light remains on and the error code p0420 displays on the reader.
Transmission shudder. This is a common problem with this Camaro. A lot of people online are experiencing the same thing. The transmission shudders when driving it. Even after servicing the fluid etc... it has to be the way they designed the transmission.
Came in due to an exhaust rattle issue on my vehicle. The issue was duplicated by the dealership, and they informed me that there is a leak in the exhaust system that is causing this rattle noise. The leak is in the center of the exhaust pipe, underneath the center console. I was told by the dealership that the vehicle is safe to operate, however that is not my experience. There is excessive noise coming from the exhaust causing disturbance in my neighborhood, and also the smell of exhaust gas is at times apparent in the cabin. This issue has not been resolved for over 2 months now, with dealership continuing to push the delivery date of the part on a weekly basis, without providing any interim solution to address the problem until the part is available.

The vehicle has stalled numerous times attempting to start from a stop. Vehicle has also stalled going up driveways. Only way to avoid stalling is to not apply throttle or ride the clutch which is going to prematurely wear said clutch.
On the ZL1 trim package, manual transmission cars when taking off from a stop the the cars torque management system is incorrectly configured and senses wheel slip (evident on the elsd slip guage) and cuts engine power and causes the car to bog down and potentially stall. This is especially dangerous when pulling out into traffic and is a matter of time before it causes an accident. This is a known issue and discussed at length on numerous forums.
