Received recall notice #98V146000 and contacted dealer. Took vehicle on date given. Repairs for airbag was done. Was driving 45mph & keeping time to music by hitting steering wheel, when air bags deployed. Vehicle went right & then left & hit another vehicle. Had arm & knee injuries. Emergency room treatment. Vehicle in storage for 3 months.
Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 35mph. Upon impact, airbags did not deploy. Passenger sustained minor injuries. Manufacturer has been notified.
This is department of defense offcial investigation. Vehicle was traveling about 50 mph and hit a large fence and cement structure which caused vehicle to roll over and sustain frontal impact damages. Upon impact, passenger's airbag deployed, but driver's airbag did not deploy, which did not protect the occupant in this crash. Manufacturer has not been contacted.

Consumer was at stop when he was rear ended with great force, causing vehicle to move forward, hitting vehicle in front. Dual air bags did not deploy. Accident caused damages to the front end of vehicle, ,hood was pushed back into the windshield. Consumer feels that the recall corrective action for the airbag deployment caused the airbags not to deploy.
Consumer was involved in an accident. Vehicle collided into a tree at approximately 65 mph, both air bags did not deploy until after consumer was pulled from vehicle. Dealer/manufacturer notified.
Had received recall notice in Canada, on 23 Nov 98, recall 98V146000. A week after air bags deployed. Brakes were applied to avoid hitting another vehicle. Air bag deployed, obscuring vision. Did not hit vehicle. Took to dealer. Was refused repairs due to minor damage to vehicle. Contacted manufacturer. Dealer sending computer part to Canada to be analyzed since vehicle was registered in the beginning in Canada & then in usa.
Had received recall notice (#98V146000) in the mail. Called dealer. Took vehicle to dealer for repairs. Picked up vehicle 10/5/98. Was driving away from stop light and rearended vehicle in front, air bags deployed. Recall remedy failed.
While sitting at a red light a police cruiser hit the vehicle head-on, causing the air bags to deploy, hitting the consumer on her chest. Consumer's son was in the booster seat with his safelty belt on, booster seat ejected the consumer's son and made him fly toward the front seat and the passager's seat, causing the passager's air bag to strike both consumer and son on their faces and injuring them. Both of them had to be taken to the hospital.
While driving 55 - 60 mph had a frontal impact in which both air bags did not deploy, which it did not protect the occupant in this accident. Occupant got out of the vehicle, and both air bags did deploy after the accident. Cause unknown.
Owner was involved in a low speed accident at 5 mph and both driver's and passenger's side airbags deployed, causing injuries to both paseenger and driver. Cause unknown.
Driving in outside lane a transfer truck crossed into Cavalier's lane. Went off road & rolled 3 times side to side & then front to back 2 times. Driver thrown about 30 ft from rear window. Shoulder/lap belt did not restrain driver. Passenger belts held. Both injured. No air bags deployed.
When driver was involved in a extremely low speed impact crash both air bags deployed, blowng out the side windows, the sun roof and the windshield were busted. The passenger's side air bag blew up. The driver's side air bag caused damages to the driver's face and chest. The driver sustained second degree burns by air bag.
While driving vehicle about 10 mph consumer was getting ready to make a turn when she heard a noise like a fire cracker according to consumer, at time she saw both air bags had deployed without a reason, driver's air bag cracked the windshield, dealer was contacted.
