Brakes started squealing when backing and then like locking up while driving. been fighting this problem since October 2013. well then last Friday they locked up and stopped me in my tracks, and shut truck off. I started it back up put in drive would not move so I gave it a little more gas and it broke loose, blew a stop sign and the cross traffic doesn't stop so the car was honking my life flashed before my eyes I'm so upset over the money I got wrapped up in this. think it is time to go look for something other than a chevy, and I can honestly say chevy was a part of my family can't believe they can't do a recall and fix this problem

First it was the ABS light & message "ABS FAULT",,thought it got fixed -- nope,,next the ABS light, message and brakes locking up started in,,thought it got fixed - nope,,finally it is the ABS light, message, brakes locking and squealing like a stuck pig all the way to the mechanic... Chevy's solution? Shave down the brakes drums on the right side (or is it left) and "back off" the brakes on the other side, this should make the light stay out and the locking and squealing to stop - nope.

Mechanic is now in process of calling every mechanic he knows to find a fix (gave up on Chevy and its dealers who some were very honest in saying they had no clue how to fix it),,I would trade it in but I think the lights, locking and noise may be a dead give away that the truck is a piece of crap and not worth a dime..........hey, otherwise the truck is great: heat, light, a/c, tunes, carries a good size load in the bed. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL!!! Unfortunately, my mechanic says, unless some folks die from the problem there will be no recall. I am NEVER buying another Chevy as long as I live.

When starting out the brakes feel like metal to metal. Brakes make grinding sound. Dealer inspected. Everything is normal. Brakes have been rework once already since new. I bought the pick up used.

I have been driving for over 50 years. I have rebuilt and replace brakes shoes, pads, rotors, hydraulic cylinders and brake lines. I will changing out my brakes again. I am easy on brakes my driving expierence will get 80,000 plus from a good quality shoe or brake pad. When american companies build poor quality we the consumer lose twice. First on the high puchase price and then on the short life of out investment.

Basically, my problem is the dealership, Hickman Motors. They are the most ignorant people you can imagine. The further you go up the management level the worst they get. It's absolutely amazing, they can keep the dealership. I eventually got my vehicle serviced at another dealership, Terra Nova Motors, and what a difference. I will never go back there again.

I have a Toyota, and when it's due for service they call to inform me. If I am too busy to bring the vehicle in for service they will come to my work, drop off a car and do the service. Most of the time I never use their car so everyone is happy. Hickman Motors is not worth the aggravation.

They have a girl on the front counter, if you complain to her she will send you to her supervisor. Guess what? Her supervisor is her father for God's sake. Can you imagine.

Please stay away, save you hair. Geez, I feel a lot better now.
