I bought the truck and it had a little grind when switching into 3rd gear if you pushed the clutch in and waited till the rpms came all the way to idol before engaging 4th everything was fine and was for many miles. Then came the time it kicked out of gear and 5 mins. later it was 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th. Believe me that sh*t gets old on a 4 banger!!!! I took it to the local dealership and experienced the way GM really works. Dealerships are franchisees and they wanted 5k to do the work. I had to call corporate in India. I am so glad we outsource our work there. The people are so kind and helpful It helps me catch up on realizing how much being nice really doesn't pay off and how much my blood pressure can go up. The trick is to get so upset with them and they will create a case #. This allows the call to be handled in the US and a real rep will actually call you and help you. I love hoops. Maybe in a couple more months you can add another hoop to jump thru before a customer who spends 20 some thousand on a vehicle can get quality service. I ended up having to take it to the original dealership which unfortunately was in NC and I am living in MD to get the work done for free!!! Once again that free but not free. So I did pay to have a new clutch put in went they were doing all the other warranty work I had him fix 1 of the power points so the wonderful tech leaves the bad on broken and breaks the only 1 that does work. Thank goodness Pep Boys wasn't far I installed 2 new ones for $6 Although you do have to cut the harness that GM has hooked to the quality $75 ones that come with your truck. Currently I am having a head gasket issue with antifreeze leaking in the oil and the heater coil has a leak in it which lets off the wonderful aroma of antifreeze smell when you turn the heat or A/C on ( THAT ONLY WORKS ON SETTING 4). I love my 4 wheel drive Colorado. I am at 85,000 miles with no warranty and I think I am gonna drive it till it blows I really don't wannna spend 5k in engine work when I can spend 7k for a brand new motor after it goes!!!!!! What a nice new piece of quality American Craftsmanship. I think mine rolled of the assembly line during new hire day or right before an AAW strike. Maybe the same drunk who put my tranny in also mounted my exhaust while he was under there. The heating and A/C switch people is "user induced" now tell me... WHO THE HELL DOGS OUT OF THE HEATING AND A/C KNOB. Come on people fix the sh*t or build it better.
