Okay, so starting about three years ago, the ABS would intermittently come on for no reason when I start the truck. Usually after reaching about 20 MPH or so it would fault and brake normally ( although without ABS). Today I pulled into a convenience store and noticed that even with the engine off and the key removed from the ignition, the ABS module continues to run indefinitely. Although this isn't affecting braking while I drive, I had to disconnect the battery to keep from draining it completely. There was a pretty heavy rain last night, so maybe this is moisture related, I don't know...
This is the most annoying problem with the truck...there are others ( Leaky A/C, gas cap won't stay tight, cruise control doesn't work). I'm a tad concerned that at some point the brakes may just stop working.
