The Chevy Passlock system. Over the last 5 years, it's gone from an occasional occurrence to a daily occurrence. Additionally, it is no longer a ten-minute wait to reset, now it requires three sets of 10 minutes waits. It is absolutely absurd that Chevy has no fix for this.

The pass lock system problem. It begins as soon as the warranty ends in the Colorado. I've read complaints all over. Time for my own. Chevy has a very dependable mid size in the works here and I hate to rant but this problem is so unpredictable and can get a guy so angry if in a hurry or pressed for time. Can cost your job. Sometimes the truck just wont start. Will crank but with no fuel sent. Nothing you can do but sit and wait for ten mins. Then it may start or do it all over again 3 more xs. Has made me late to work. Made me end up at store after closing. Had me sitting there holding up gas line behind me trying to explain why im still at pump. GM wants over 500 bucks to fix.

Solution for my next Chevy purchase, if pass lock equipped, have it removed or won't buy truck. Most annoying mechanical issue I've ever dealt with. Trying to explain it to people...so sick of that. I know there's a way to disable it now but it is a security feature. GM should have recalled.

2007 Chevrolet Colorado purchased from original owner. This vehicle runs well most of the time, but has now refused to start on two different occasions. After letting the vehicle set the first time, the truck started up and ran as if nothing had ever happened. The second time was tonight (6/12/17) in the parking lot of a grocery store. I had $100.00+ worth of groceries in the truck and it would not start. Had to call friend to take me (and my groceries) home. I hope it starts in the morning when I return to pick it up. If not, I almost hope someone steals it. Based on the other complaints I am reading about this truck, it is unconscionable that a major car company would not stand behind their product especially when so many complaints about the same problem are documented.. At the very least give us a fix for it.

Car would not start from time to time so I took it to Chuys Electric shop in ELA and they fixed it for over $400.00... I don't see why Chevy didn't list this as a recall..
