The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving approximately 65 mph, the blower motor wire harness caught fire. The contact did not disclose if a police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,000.
Ac blower motor works intermittently and now does not work. Other people on the web have had small fire melted wires. This has been a problem with the Chevrolet Colorados. I had 2004 with the same problem. So as you see it is a 4 year old problem. When are you folks going to address it with GM since we as the people have some much invested in them.
