Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have the Active Rev Matching feature to be inoperative. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code P0731 stored in the engine control module. Technician should insure the vehicle is equipped with Regular Production Option Code MEL. Dealer should ask the customer if they noticed this concern to happen after reverse operation, if yes then, no further repairs should be performed. The current Engine Control Module calibration can allow this code to falsely set in reverse as the reverse and first gear ratios are real close numerically. Engineering is currently working on a correction for this concern.
