The hose that needed to be replaced was $30 at the dealership but the bulk of the expense was accessing the hose. One side of the hose is a clamp that is easy to remove but the other side of the hose is tucked behind the exhaust manifold. This requires replacing the manifold gasket among other parts that cannot be used more than once and in my 2LT Cruze that includes removing the turbocharger.

2013 Chevy Cruze, I have an awful order which smells like antifreeze coming from from the vents mostly when the heat or A/C is. But you can put your nose up to the vent and smell an odor. I have been to 4 dealerships. They tell me I'm Nuts and that a technician cannot go for a test ride with me so I can make sure they are smelling it. This is so nasty it leaves my lips tingling and my lungs wheeze and i feel like vomiting, I spit out the window every 2 minutes and barely have the heat on. the window is down all the time in the winter.

I finally went to another dealership they noticed an order but couldn't figure it out and sent me home.Really?? They check the coolant system and say its fine. well its not. I read online the epoxy they use for the vents could be the issue, bUt GM will no ok them to just take apart the dashboard, WHY? my car was under warranty, and now its not and the problem is still there. Ive talked to GM 4 times they blow smoke up your ass, just like the service guys at the dealerships.

This odor cannot be healthy to breathe in. Especially if it makes my lips tingle. Its not our fault they built this car with so many issues. If a consumer is saying there is a problem more than once and its the same issues then something needs to be done. I was told that if people continue to complain directly to GM about the ODOR they will open up a RECALL to fix it. Disgusting GM my grandfather retired from this Company and you treat the consumers this way like we are the crazy ones!! FIX The problems its your fault not ours

Fun little car. Antifreeze smell so bad at times makes your eyes water. Have to roll the windows down to air out car. Dosen't happen all the time. Took it to the dealer, did not find anything wrong. File a complaint with GM, they gave me a report number and I took it to another dealer and they found a torque converter leaking and fixed it. Took the car back and still have the smell in the car. Will be contacting GM again.

After having antifreeze leak fixed in October, In January noticed antifreeze smell coming into car through heater. Got a bad taste in my mouth. Looked it up on line and they said heating core is probably gone and to get it fixed asap as it can be very dangerous to your health and can be fatal. Brought car back to dealership and was pretty upset but kept my calm and told them the car is a lemon and want to complain to GM. They said to come back in Monday. I told them no, just trade this car in and give me a decent trade. I got a 2014 and hope this one gives me no trouble. Can not afford to get upset at my age. It wasn't the dealerships fault it was the manufacturer GM. Hopefully no trouble this time or I will never buy a Chevy again.
