This is one of the worst vehicles that I have ever driven in terms of throttle control. I have had many times where the throttle will become unresponsive. If you slow down fairly quickly, then try to accelerate, the engine will stay at idle for 3-4 seconds then shift down and accelerate. If you make a quick stop at an intersection and try to pull out into traffic, there is no acceleration for a few seconds. If you pull out to pass another vehicle and stomp the pedal quickly, it will most likely maintain the same speed for a few seconds. These are not related to turbo lag as some may say, I have data logged the vehicle. On 2 occasions,I have had the vehicle go full throttle while on the brake. This lasts less than 2 seconds, but can be a very dangerous situation. Engine will surge to about 2500RPM or so. Took the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to duplicate the concern. They did however reprogram the PCM to no avail. The problem still occurs.
