I purchased 2013 chevy cruze in 2021. Starting with steering going out, all electrical power is affected. Radio comes on and off. Light comes on to check stab trak. Engine started while key in ignition but I wasn't in car. I can't afford to get a different car now a days. I'm disabled and need this car to get to my Dr appts But I'm afraid the vehicle will kill me, someone or worse. This vehicle needs a very very serious recall to fix this before someone is killed. That won't work!! FIX IT PLEASE I BEG YOU!!!

When i turn left or right stereo shuts off all my warning lights come on and steering gos out.and sometimes it shuts down.Almost got hit a cause it did this.This is a serious safety issue.Nobody can pin point the problem.then a code says open and close drivers window.If i get killed cause this car does this.and getting worse.chevy will be sued.can you get chevy to repair this possible faulty.problem.may a recall in electric system.

At random times, my stereo will go blank, no sound, no blinker sounds, nothing. At the same time, the service traction control, service stabitrax will start flashing on and off. My power steering will cut off as well. This will happen a few times while driving then it will not happen again. Then randomly on a different day, it will happen again.

My screen for the radio starts to flicker, and the entire car shuts down. After waiting for 5 or 10 minutes the car powers back up and starts. Another time, while I was still parked the radio starts to flicker again. So I turn off the car, but the key is stuck in the ignition and when you turn the key you get nothing. It doesn't start and you get no power. After waiting a few minutes again the car powers up on its own while key is still in the ignition. This also happened once while I was driving. Luckily I was just taking off, so I wasn't going very fast.

I purchased this vehicle (2013 Chevrolet Cruze) in 2016 and it had mileage of 3,500 miles. Less than a month of ownership an alert showed and sounded in the dash lights that the rear driver's side door was open when it wasn't and this was while in a park position and while in motion on any road. The alert was almost constant so I brought it to a repair shop which replaced the latch in the door 3 separate times and the problem still occurred. Eventually I asked to just have the latch disconnected in the door because no one could fix it and stop the alert and sounds from going off. So now I have a $300 latch disconnected inside the door because that wouldn't fix the problem plus I have to manually lock and unlock that door if I need to use it when all of the other 3 doors can be electronically locked/unlocked with the fob or the lock/unlock button in the car. Now a new problem that is currently going on is the rear brake light in the back windshield is very dim while in a park position or while in motion driving on any road. It still works but is not as bright as it used to be. It's a light bar that sits in the back window acting as a 3rd brake light and it does not contain light bulbs. Also, I've had a couple of other alerts show up in the dash for a day or more while in a park position or in motion driving on any road and then they go away after a few days. I suspect this vehicle has an electrical problem and I can't afford to have it diagnosed.

Front turn signal bulb lens covers have melted. Dealer claims he hasn't seen problem before and wants $500 to replace entire housing unit. Has to be plenty of these problems out there.

Traveling West and an East bound vehicle turned in front of me. The other driver was ticket for failure to yield and accident causing bodily injury. My air bags did not deploy I sustained injuries to my chest, hit my head on drivers side window and my left should and ribs were thrown in to the door.

I could smell coolant/antifreeze when the heater was on and the temperature was set to a high setting. I didn't think anything was wrong, just thought it might be a break-in issue. As of today's date Nov 9, 2014 I still can smell the coolant smell when the heater is on. Recently I received a letter from GM concerning possible coolant loss. At my last service of the vehicle I asked the dealer to check for this problem. Nothing was reported to me from the dealer. I assumed that there was no problem. The other issue I have noticed is dash lights dimming or brightening on their own. The latest problem was that the car would not start this morning. Drove perfectly yesterday, this morning dead. Jumped the car and everything seems fine. Making an appointment with the dealer. Noticed that the coolant level is about 3 inches low in over flow tank. Looked on the internet about Cruze cars and found many posts about electrical problems. GM tells them all that they are not aware of any electrical problems but you tube videos show gauges and radios cutting out when driving. Some videos describe cars shutting down when driving and not restarting. Others have service messages appearing on the information screen and the dealers find nothing wrong. It is starting to sound like the infamous Jeep Grand Cherokee electrical problems. I am seriously thinking it is time to get rid of my 2013 cruise as the factory warranty will expire soon. Current mileage is 27490 on Nov 9, 2014.
