I was driving my 2013 Chevy Cruze and turned into a parking lot. When I turned the steering the steering wheel to turn into a parking stall my steering wheel completely locked into place making a locking noise, as it engaged into the locked position! I was not able to steer the vehicle until I turned it off, put it into park and then turned the key to restart which disengaged the steering wheel! Wow! TAlk about scary! What if I were going faster on a highway and had zero control of my car? That would have resulted in a crash!

I called my dealership I bought it from new the year before and was told there were no complaints such as mine! They did have a steering recall on a computerized part that was replaced but the symptoms were not the same as mine! I was told after three hours of checking my car over that they could not find nor duplicate the issue so if it happens again (and I survive, I Add) then bring it back for another look!

When I went to take it to the dealer that morning, I noticed my ignition stuck a little when I put my key in to start it! I have a young child who is always with me, I am afraid to drive it now for my safety, hers and those around me!

This is not the first issue with this car! Month one of owning it I had a brake issue where it did not want to stop at all on the road in the rain! It happened three times! Each time the dealer was unable to locate the problem but then the fourth time found an ABS sensor that was out and fixed that!

I am trying to trade my car in now as I have no confidence in reliability or safety, and Am being told that due to the recalls on my car it is significantly worth less money! That is not fair!

I am not a happy Chevy owner right now and wonder if there is any Legal recourse I can take here?
