Cruze

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,842 miles

I purchased a 2013 Chevy Cruze on September 28th 2017 and one thing I noticed from Day one even during the test Drive was it seems to have either just No pickup or it could be just shifting slowly from each gear when you give it gas.I feel like it stays in first gear for a long time before it goes into second gear and so on. The salesman told me it was normal, that is how this is supposed to be. The mileage was only 29,842 when I bought it so it should not have issues. I wonder if something is wrong with the transmission or if something is going to be wrong with it like a recall? If I ever had to get out of the way quickly I don't feel like it has the power to do what I would want it to do. I have other Complaints posted about this same vehicle. .

Cruze LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

Not sure what is going on. Hoping my transmission isn't fixing go out.

Update from Sep 18, 2015: Just another issue with this vehicle. Contact GM customer service at cac@chervorlet.com. Got several emails and lots of promises someone would call me for a period of a month. Finally I called number given. The supervisor specialist offered me $1,000 to apply to a new vehicle. I still owe $15k on this vehicle. I laughed because $1,000 wouldn't cover tax, title and license. I would be upside down tremendous. She said that was all they would do. There was no intentions to recall this model/year car. So basically customers with the vehicle is SOL!

CAR ROLLS WHEN ON A MINOR HILL SEAMS LIKE IT HAS A HARD TIME SHIFTING OR IS THINKING ABOUT SHIFTING

Update from Apr 4, 2014: We took our 2013 Cruze in today for recall problems Know they say the car is unsafe and took it off the road, also they say there is a recall on 2 switches on the transmission. Did anybody else here about this? My Wife is fed up with car and doesn't feel safe in it and wants to return it. We told the dealer we wanted a new car, they said no problem, your car is worth $13000 as trade in. Isn't that a slap in the face as we paid $24000 for it 5 months ago. GM answer me on this and what are you going to do about this? Make my wife feel safe again in GM products and give me faith on GM. Please reply on this complaint on-line and till us that you are Built Tuff like Chrysler Others have similar problems you can contact me. kylegonefishing@hotmail.com

Cruze

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

I went into the Chevy dealership where I had bought the car and the mechanic said it was a sensor that tells the car when to shift and he has had several complaints about the same thing but there is nothing wrong, that is how the car is.

Dang, it doesn't shift when going up a hill and doesn't down shift going down the hill and it seems like sometimes its going to blow my engine.

And yes, I do smell anti-freeze sometimes. I think I have a leak but I don't, it's crazy this car.

The car clunks loudly when it is shifted into reverse. Sounds like the gear is having difficulty getting into where it belongs.

Cruze 1LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,000 miles

Brand new '13 Chevy Cruze feels like it late to shift or does so roughly. Definitely feels underpowered. I want to will the engine to up-shift sometimes. Other forums have recommended replacing the transmission control module, but if this is a known issue (search it easy) then GM should do a recall and fix everyone's transmissions.

Cruze LT1 1.4L Turbo

I own a repair shop and could tell when I drove the car home from the dealership something was wrong. jerks from first gear into second as if released a clutch too fast. Dan Welle Southtown in Sauk centre Mn says this is normal for those transmissions! They said I could feel free to drive the other two new cars on there lot to make sure they shift the same way. I said it sounds like you have two more NIGHTMARES coming back. GM said they will not buy the car back because there isn't anything wrong with it according to the dealership. I'm so happy that I was able to get 4,000 from my Dodge Durango that had a crack head on the motor as this is why I dumped it. So if you love lemons buy a chevy I've owned over 10 Gm's this is my first new one and my last, GM screwed my brother's company out of 4 million with bankruptcy then we the people bail the losers out lesson learned
