We have only had this car for 4 months. After sitting for any length of time it will not start. The battery and alternator were checked both are working properly. The car has to be jumped every time or the negative cable taken off the battery when parking it in order for it to start. Once it starts the information panel says "open, then close the driver window". It has also said "rear driver side door ajar", "Trunk open", "Passenger door ajar" and the dome light stayed on, it had to be shut off by hand. After doing this the message goes away, but it happens every time the car is shut off.
This happened to my friend's car. The dealer wanted her to say the car was struck by lightning. Her whole electrical system shorted out. Dealer is trying to cover up more Chevy woes?
