I financed my car through drivetime in june 2019 and from the time i got the car i have been having electrical issues. My car has also been in a really bad accident prior to me purchasing it and when i tried to return it. They just kept telling me to go to pep boys because I had a 60 day warranty to fix any issues. I should not have had to take my car to any mechanic if I got it from a dealership. I now have really mad transmissin issues and I havent even had the car for 3 years. I believe this company sold me a lemon and i dont know how to prove it. I dont have the money to fix all the issues.
For about a year now my 2014 Chevy Cruze-??s steering wheel will lock up for a few seconds while I am driving (at speeds up to 80MPH) - which is extremely dangerous. When this happens, several lights will then pop up on my dashboard and messages are shown saying -??service power steering-?? -??service traction control-??. The radio turns off, the lights inside the car turn off, and the back up camera stops working. The engine light has been on and will not go off. I have already replaced the transmission and the starter as well as the fuel pump. I was told by my mechanic to just get rid of the car as it has way too many issues to even attempt repairing. I once ran over a curb and popped a tire when the steering wheel locked up. Every time I start my car there is a message that say -??roll down driver window and roll back up-?? which I do not understand. This seems to be happening to several people. I am very disappointed and scared to be driving this car.
Power flickering and multiple errors lit up on dashboard including loss of stability control. Radio kept flashing on and off. Would show back up when pressed brake or regular car in motion. -- Looked up online and appears to be known negative battery cable --- which doesn't show on NHTSA recalls or errors to look out for.
The radio started to turn on and off and while that was happening it became difficult to steer. The message on the dashboard read "Service Stabilitrak".
I have a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, and when I turn the ignition off it sounds like it's trying to start on it's own. It also has a faulty catalytic converter.

When parked and left to idle after driving for a while, the traction light comes on and the dash displays service StabiliTrak and traction control. After this happens the car seems to lose power and sometimes feels as if the breaks are catching and letting go.
The touch screen radio unit has totally failed. Without this system, I cannot hear the directional signals or view the backup camera. No aftermarket modifications were made on this or related parts. This car is eight years old and has been maintained according to the manufacturer's service schedule.
In the steering column it-??s really hot where you connect to make a call and where you turn on cruse control. This part of the steering column should not be hot.

While in drive, radio, dash lights and turn signals randomly shut off. Not sure if turn signals are working even though no sound - praying other drivers can see when I'm turning"? sometimes I'm just sitting at a red light and everything goes quiet. The length of time varies, so it can be startling when everything suddenly comes back on. This has happened many times over the past few months. Overall, may sound insignificant, but the (working?") turn signals is a safety issue!!
Stabiltrak service warning, radio screen turning on and off as well as muting of turn signal all at the same time. Happens several times a day. New battery in 2020.
This has occur more than a handful of times. This is the most recent one, I stopped at the gas station turned off my car and when I went to start it nothing was working no lights, no power anywhere. I wiggled the battery cable and it came back on but, I had to turn the key on and off multiple times for it to finally start. As I'm leaving the gas station I turn to the left and I have no power steering none whatsoever. Then it came back seconds later I was driving straight and the wheel jerked on its on and it said service power steering and once again I had no power steering. It went off moments later. When I got to my destination it lost all power again.
This car is crazy. Starts on its own if key left in ignition. Radio goes on and off constantly. Power steering tries to go out. Lights up like a christmas tree. I fear for my life and it needs a recall.
While idling at a traffic light I notice the "engine overheated - idle engine" came on. This has happen on a numerous of occasions. I've taken it in to be checked but everything works fine. It continues to do this at least once a week now. There has to be a recall for because I've researched and found that many other Chevy Cruze owners have the same problem happening to them.
The vehicle tries to start on its own. When you turn off the engine, many times the starter will try to start repidly on its own. With the key in the ignition but in the full off position. The starter kick in 1,2,3,4 times trying to start the engine. This will stop as soon as you remove the key. This is a safety issue as well as a defect. This could lead to damaging the starter and battery. This is definitely a safety issue. I could not find a recall for this issue. But I did find that this issue has accured to many Chevy Cruze owners.
Over the last 3 years, I have had the same issues occurring. The engine overheats and a message that reads "A/C off high engine temp" appears. The hose was replaced, and it was ok for awhile, but the problem has reoccurred twice more. The engine gasket cover had to be replaced as well, and looks like it is leaking again, and over the last 3 years randomly, a message will appear that states to service stabiltrak. I've had a coil pack replaced and the message went away, but reappears every now and then, and upon start up of car most days, runs very rough and I have to wait a minute before putting into gear. The overheating and rough engine problems keep reocurring no matter what work I have done to it. Most recent issues with the ac off again, as of today, 12/8/2020.
Vehicle will lose power and shut off in middle of driving while trying to accelerate or slowing down, this occurs on highway, at stoplights, drive through, and city streets while stationary and in motion. Chevrolet dealership can not figure out the problem. This is extremely dangerous. ECM has been replaced but still experience electrical problems as well. This is basically a death trap vehicle. It has happened numerous times with no solution.
The car will be stopped at a red light or a stop sign, the car will be idling for seconds start shuddering then stall out in the middle of traffic then the check engine light will turn on. We then have to shut the car off with the key, cycle it then turn the car back on.
The two front windows both stopped working within a year of having the car. The read driver side window also is making a sound that soon will stop working. The car at the time had less than 9000 miles when they stopped working with 98% of the time only having the one person in the vehicle (driver). No kids playing around with switches no crashes. Both windows just stopped working. Something inside broke.
