The gas pedal either sticks down after passing or in cruise control when hitting resume, so far. This has happened 7 times in 2 years. Two of the times were on the freeway and thank God no one was in front of me because the pedal went down and stuck so bad that applying the brakes just kept it at the speed it was going and not slowing any (I went from 60 to 95 in just a couple of seconds), again thank God no one was in front of me or changed lanes just then. I had to get my toes under the pedal and pop it up. It happened 2 times that trip over 180 miles round trip.
It seemed like it happened when the pedal was put down faster than normal, when I hit the resume button on the cruise control. It then has happened several times from accelerating to pass, always being ready to pop your pedal doesn't reassure me that we won't be in an accident anytime soon. It does make a popping sound when it comes up. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. We've tried to see if there was a recall on it but haven't found one yet.
